In the letter “Wa” of Cheong Wa Dae, the Korean alphabet letter ‘ㅇ’ represents the sun rising above Bugaksan Mountain.
The middle line of CI conveys the meaning of the traditional fortress and five cardinal colors.
By using the bright and cheerful font, letter "Sarangchae" is designed to express its beauty itself. and as a whole, it symbolizes its determination to promote Korea's outstanding beauty to the world through Cheongwadae Sarangchae located beneath Bugaksan Mountain.
The color motif of Cheongwadae Sarangchae is inspired by the roof tile color of 'giwa', the traditional Korean roof tile.
